KAPPA ALPHA PSI FRATERNITY, INC
DETROIT ALUMNI CHAPTER
SENIOR KAPPA AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

The Detroit Alumni Chapter Senior Kappa Affairs
Committee was organized September 25, 1987. The first meeting was
called to order October 14, 1987 by Chairman Floyd Pennick.
The purpose of the committee is to promote a continuing spirit of
fraternalism and brotherhood among senior Kappas by developing programs
and formulating activities for those senior brothers in order to
facilitate their involvement and enhance their well being.
The mission of the Senior Kappa Affairs Committee is to retain members
of teh fraternity who are sixty years of age and older, as active,
contributory, financially stable brothers and to encourage attendance at
meetings and participation in activities.
Because of teh programs sponsored by the Detroit Alumni SKAC identifying
the needs of our senior brothers and finding solutions to meet those
needs, the Grand Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
recommended during 1993 that each alumni chapter establish a SKAC as a
standing committee.
The Detroit Alumni Chapter SKAC presently has 41 members.
Committee meetings are held the Wednesday following the second Satuday
of each month at the Kappa House starting at 1:00 pm.
